Songstress Carmit Bachar is no stranger to revealing all with raunchy dance routines as part of the Pussycat Dolls, but now the hitmaker has laid herself bare and opened up about the effects of world travelling.
The red-headed songstress revealed she struggled through years of corrective surgery for a cleft lip and palate and was a victim of bullying.
Meanwhile struggles within the band, including lead singer Nicole Scherzinger’s battle with bulimia, have made them “stronger as women and performers,” she told Mr Warburton Magazine.
After announcing her departure from the Don’t Cha group in 2008 to pursue other projects, Carmit, 45, reunited with Nicole and her bandmates in December 2019 for their hit single React, which they debuted on The X Factor.
Speaking to the magazine, the red-headed beauty revealed: “I didn’t leave for any other reason than I had other projects brewing and it was a scheduling issue.”
During her absence from the group, she went on to have daughter Keala Rose, 8, who works as an actress, something Carmit supports: “As long as she loves it, it’s OK with me!”
Speaking of the band reuniting, she told the publication: “It was time to come back. We have all grown up. We are women, proud of how far we’ve come, in love with our femininity, our bodies and we just want to perform and entertain everyone!

“We needed to go our own way. Ten years have gone by. We have started families, done our own projects, grown as women and now it’s time to get back out there.”
As she was gearing up to hit the road with the Pussycat Dolls for their reunion tour, the world was forced into a state of lockdown due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
“I was quarantined in my hotel room in the UK terrified that they would close the borders, I was worried for myself, our fans and especially for my family at home,” Carmit said.
“We didn’t know if we could get out.”
The lockdown also saw the group reschedule their tour, disappointing thousands of fans across the country.
She added that “this is a very trying time. We must keep creating,” before saying that the group will return to the UK in October to kick off their tour.
