Rachel Riley says husband Pasha didn't know what 'dogging' was until BBC fail

Rachel Riley has revealed her partner, Strictly Come Dancing star Pasha Kovalev, had no idea what dogging was until Carol Kirkwood’s epic TV fail earlier this month.

During an early morning segment from Greenwich park, Carol accidentally said she had seen “lots of doggers”.

Speaking on BBC Breakfast, Carol said: “Good morning everybody. Greenwich Park is one of the oldest and closed of the royal parks and look at it! Fabulous!

Looking embarrassed as she realised her epic mistake, she quickly corrected herself.

Carol quickly added: “Not doggers of course! Lots of dog walkers and joggers around here, through the course of this morning.”

Taking to Twitter, Carol made light of the fail by referencing it.

The starlet wrote: “That will teach me to try and say joggers and dog walkers in the same sentence! Sorry! xxx”

Replying to the post, Rachel said: “You’ve helped to teach @PashaKovalev a new word for the day.”

The Countdown legend’s post was quickly picked up on by cheeky fans.

One supporter wrote: “Ah he’s playing that card is he, Rachel.”

Another added: “If he wants an explanation, YouTube fascinating Aida and the song dogging. It’s the only explanation you need.”

Praising Carol’s mistake as TV gold, one viewer laughed: “Brilliant Carol, how you kept going I don’t know, gave us all a good laugh amongst the doom and gloom that is the rest of the news.”

A second chimed in: “I think you’ve brightened everyone’s morning up Carol, no apology needed.”

Meanwhile, Big Brother legend Davina McCall wrote: “So so funny … you are a national treasure. We love you.”
