Greg James apologised to listeners today after the F-bomb was dropped live on air.
The 34-year-old was hosting his BBC Radio 1 breakfast show when a caller let slip the bad language in a major blunder.
Greg was speaking to a listener who phoned in for the segment called the ‘sad-vent calendar’ in which callers ring up for a chat and see what’s behind the door for that day.
The listener explained his job was making ventilators amid the coronavirus lockdown, and Greg thanked him for the incredible work he’s doing during the pandemic.

However things turned awkward when his co-workers were heard “arguing” in the background of the phone call.
Greg said jokingly: “Tell them to shut up…”
Then the F-bomb was heard and the caller laughed nervously and said: “Sorry they’re having an argument in the background.”
Greg quickly apologised for the rude language, saying: “I think we may have just heard a bad word so apologies for that.”

The host continued with the interview before apologising again later in the show.
He said: “Also apologies for that for the bad word that was uttered in the background there… from that clown.”
BBC Radio One has continued to entertain viewers during lockdown. When the pandemic was first announced they implemented changes to its BBC Radio One show schedules to ensure fewer presenters are in the studio amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The new schedule will came into effect from March 30 and the BBC said it would remain under review for the foreseeable future.

Aled Haydn Jones, head of programmes at Radio One, said: “In these testing times I’ve made the decision to simplify our schedule to ensure the health of our teams, presenters and the network itself.
“I’m very proud of how the Radio One teams have been able to continue to entertain and inform our audience under such difficult conditions, and we’ll be doing our best to carry on throughout the challenging weeks ahead.”
