Rebel Wilson unveils jaw-dropping weight loss in black mesh gym gear

Rebel Wilson ‘s “year of health” is in full swing, as the Aussie starlet experiments with new and exciting forms of exercise to revamp her lifestyle.

Highlighting the fruits of her labour, the 40-year-old actress donned some lycra gym gear as she headed to the park for a workout this week.

Fitted black leggings were paired with a long-sleeved black tee, made from a breathable mesh material and emblazoned with the iconic Nike tick.

With a black cap perched on her head and a pair of tinted shades, Rebel looked sophisticated as she skipped through the pathways of Manhattan’s Central Park.

Later, she lay down on one of the park’s resting spots and took out her notebook, doing some journaling in the autumn sunshine.

Rebel’s lifestyle transformation, which started out as a New Year’s resolution, has been widely documented in recent months.

With roles in some of the biggest comedy flicks of the past decade, such as Bridesmaids and Pitch Perfect, Rebel has spoken in the past about Hollywood’s attitude to her size.

Speaking to The Sun at the beginning of the year, she said: “I had a job where I was paid a lot of money to be bigger, at times which kind of can mess with your head a bit.”

In January, Rebel decided she wanted to focus on improving her health, and went to an Austrian wellness retreat to kickstart her journey.

The Isn’t It Romantic star has also enlisted the help of fitness trainer Jono Castano, doing HIIT workouts and a variety of weight training programmes under his guidance.

Speaking to Yahoo lifestyle, Jono recommended taking supplements and vitamins, along with getting consistent sleep, when undertaking any fitness journey.

He said: “I think with any type of transformation, you shouldn’t always look at the easiest option, you know, two months is not enough time to be able to change your body.

“My advice is to keep your goals realistic, short and then achieve them, and progress from there.”

In August, eight months after her journey began, Rebel revealed – thanks to her determination and perseverance – she was just 18 lbs away from her goal weight of 165 lbs.
