Roddy Alves claims NHS 'never called her back' when she offered her services

Former Celebrity Big Brother contestant Roddy Alves has aired her frustration after being unable to volunteer during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The reality TV star, 36, put her personal struggles behind her on Thursday as she revealed that the NHS never called her back after she volunteered to help amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Roddy told MailOnline: “In order to make most of my free time as soon as the NHS required volunteers I put my name forward, but I was never required.”

She didn’t dampen her spirit after she flaunted her ample assets in a plunging gold wrap-around dress in a lockdown photoshoot from her London home.

Roddy completed the outfit with a glitzy choker-style necklace and a matching hoop earrings while letting her blonde terse flow loosely.

Since being in lockdown, Roddy said: “I am a Brazilian woman who is now very curvy due to the extra seven kilos gained and the hormones which helps a lot of skin softness and fat distribution even my breast from a D size is now a DD which I love.

“I have discovered that I will always have to have my cleavage on show, since I feel suffocated if they are covered.

“After all I waited 36 years to become a woman and I am now proud to show off my female assets.”

The TV personality has previously opened up about the bullying she endured as a child as well asa journey to come out as transgender.

Roddy, who has been keeping fans updated on her recovery following her £25k surgery, said: “The rest of my surgeries needed to complete my transition have been postponed until 2021 which has been causing me a lot of distress which lead me to gain seven kilos.

“Even my name change procedure has been delayed until further notice.”

She is currently isolating at home and said that she has been using the time to figure what kind and type of woman she is.

Roddy, who shot to fame as the Human Ken Doll Rodrigo Alves before her transition, has previously opened up about the bullying she endured in childhood.

She said: “As a young child I was always very in touch with my feminine side. I was diagnosed with Gynecomastia which is an excess of chest breast tissue.

“The boys at school bullied me, physically abused me. I dedicated myself to languages, I was always first to come to class. I can speak six languages now.

“Bullying gave me the strength to be a better person.”
