Sam Smith leaves self-isolation after fiery Piers Morgan coronavirus showdown

Sam Smith has been photographed out and about just days after they shared an emotional post about being stuck inside due to the coronavirus self-isolation.

The 27-year-old shared a series of snaps which they said documented the “stages of a quarantine meltdown”.

The singer had previously spoke in an Instagram video about being “bored s***-less” during their self-isolation.

They said that we are in a “weird, weird time” and urged their fans to take note and keep an eye on their mental health.

Despite the positive message, Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan was having none of the non-binary star’s Instagram posts and quote tweeted a link to an article about the “meltdown”.

The GMB star said: “FFS. I can’t take any more of this celebrity attention seeking bulls***.

“Get a grip, the lot of you.”

The 54-year-old continued: “This is a war, not an Instagram story op.”

Since then, Sam left their megabucks mansion, reportedly worth £12million, to go and grab a coffee.

The 27-year-old wore a simple outfit of black jeans, a crisp white t-shirt and matching trainers, and a black jacket over the top.

They could be seen wearing headphones and tapping at their phone as they strolled along an empty street.

Moments later, Sam was seen holding a takeaway coffee cup as they went about their business.

Sam has been self-isolating in their five-bedroom Hampstead, North London home.

Their neighbours include the likes of Hollywood actor Jude Law – so there are plenty of worse places to be stuck in quarantine.

Plenty of other celebrities have been giving fans an insight into their self-isolation, including a number of stars who sang a rendition of classic John Lennon song Imagine.

The A-listers, who included Gal Gadot, Natalie Portman and Cara Delevingne, were slammed on social media by people who told them to donate to charities instead of singing on Twitter.

Meanwhile, a handful of famous faces have been confirmed to be suffering with the coronavirus, including Idris Elba and Tom Hanks.
