Crossroads is a British soap opera that had its original television run from 1964-1988.
It later came back to TV from 2001-2003 as Crossroads motel, seeing the show’s characters run a fictional motel based in The Midlands.

Cindy Marshall-Day – Tracey Booth
Cindy Marshall-Day, 53, who played Tracey Booth in Crossroads, really hit her career stride when she appeared in the popular soap. Ahead of being cast as blonde bombshell Tracey, she had appeared as an extra in horror comedy Dracula: Dead and Loving it.
Cindy’s character Tracey was married to Jake Booth (Colin Wells on the programme, and a lot of the central storylines revolved around their explosive marriage.
Since Crossroads wrapped, Cindy has taken a step away from the limelight.
Following her time on Crossroads, she claimed that the late director Michael Winner once asked to see her naked breasts after inviting her around to his home.
In a previous appearance on This Morning, Debbie said of Winner: “He was a horrible, filthy pervert. He preyed on young naive actresses who wanted to earn a living.”
Two other women also accused Winner, who died in 2013, of the same behaviour including former EastEnders star Debbie Arnold. He was never investigated over the claims.
Lucy Pargeter – Helen Raven
Lucy Pargeter starred in the revival series of Crossroads – Crossroads Motel.
Unlike many of the Crossroads cast, who became best known for their role on the show, Lucy is undoubtedly most widely recognise for her role in Emmerdale.

In the comeback show run Tony’s character Adam brutally killed off Jill, who was his wife at the time.
Tony revealed that his character’s dastardly ways caught up with him in real life.
He previously claimed that one fan was so angry with his character Adam that he tried to kill him.
Recalling the incident previously, Tony said: “He sneaked into the studios and charged at me with a knife.
“Luckily, two security guards were nearby and I was unhurt.”
Tony has since appeared in the stage musical, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
Freema Agyeman – Lola Wise
Freema Agyeman played Lola Wise in Crossroad’s revival series, Crossroads Motel.
Lola and Belle (Jessica Fox) pretended to be pop stars who just happened to be staying at the motel.
However, staff soon cottoned on, and they began working at the hotel to pay off their debts to the establishment, after using a stolen credit card.
Freema, 41, has gone on to great success since appearing on the soap opera, working alongside David Tenant in Doctor Who, as well as starring in spin-off Torchwood.
She has also broken on to Netflix, recently starring in popular series Sense8.
Colin Wells – Jake Booth
Colin Wells played Jake Booth – Tracey Booth’s (Cindy Marshall-Day’s) husband in the original Crossroads series.
Jake was a ruthless businessman who wanted to own all of the motel, and had s wandering eye, often leaving Tracey heartbroken.
Since appearing on Crossroads, Colin, 56, had the long-standing part of John Dean in Hollyoaks, which he played for two years.
He has also worked on other shows such as Casualty and The Bill.
Jane Asher – Angel Samson
After Jane’s character Jill was written out of the show, Jane’s character Angel was brought on to fill the void left by the absence of the former leading lady.
Angel Samson was not to be messed with, and exuded power and sex appeal.
Asher ended up apologised to fans of the programme when it was cancelled in 2003.
Jane, 73, has since gone on to star in shows such as Holby City, The Palace and The Old Guys.
She famously had a relationship with The Beatles star Paul McCartney from 1963-1968.
Jane refuses to talk about their previous romance in interviews.
Sherrie Hewson – Virginia Raven
Like Jane, Sherrie, 69, was also one of the more experienced actresses to join the Crossroads revival series, having previously starred in Coronation Street and the Carry on Films.
Virginia brought class and sophistication to the motel, starring as the motel’s receptionist.
Sherrie’s career has only continued to grow and develop since she starred on Crossroads.
She played Joyce Temple-Savage in popular TV series, Benidorm, and was a regular panelist on Loose Women for years.
