Singer Sia has confirmed that she has become a grandmother for the first time.
Last month, the Grammy-nominated icon revealed that she had adopted two 18-year-old sons in 2019 as they were “ageing out of the foster care system” after first hinting at becoming a mum during a chat with GQ.
Sia, whose real name is Sia Furler, famed for her global hit, Chandelier, shared the news that one of her sons has welcomed his own two children.
Speaking to pal Zane Lowe on his Apple Music podcast, the Aussie superstar exclaimed: “My youngest son just had two babies.

“I’m a f**king grandma!”
However, the masked star revealed she doesn’t want to go by the title of grandma, instead, wants to follow in the footsteps of pal Kris Jenner.
“I’m trying to get them to call me ‘Lovey,'” she added, the name which Kris Jenner is called by her grandchildren.
Sia, who is known for keeping her personal life private, also revealed that one of her sons had “recently came out,” saying: “He’s just blossoming and is the light of my life, I love him so much.”

Both of her sons, who are black, have lived in 18 different locations throughout their life after being “failed” by the social care system.
She went on to add that following the adoption, life had been a “massive rollercoaster” after her sons had told her one story, yet she discovered another.
Following the Black Lives Matter movement, Sia has spoken about the social injustice in the United States since the murder of George Floyd.

“I’m embarrassed that it took me to adopt two Black sons to really understand what they go through on a daily basis,” she said.
Sia is currently isolating at her Los Angeles home with her two sons, now aged 19, and grandchildren.
