Spitting Image is not being shown in the States for fear of upsetting US president Donald Trump.
American TV channel NBC has turned down the chance to air the satirical puppet show which has been revived after 24 years on Britbox.
The main reason is that the series lampoons some of its most powerful figures such as Trump, Joe Biden, Michelle Obama as well as Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.
Spitting Image producer Jon Thoday explained: “It’s basically quite a difficult show to do in the environment that exists.
“Inevitably if you attack tall poppies, people get worried.

“They think they want it, but when they’ve got it they just start worrying about it.”
Meanwhile Britbox has unveiled their latest puppet on the show – it’s chancellor Rishi Sunak.
Bosses have also revealed that Spitting Image has been recommissioned for a second series due autumn 2021.
Last week Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan came face to face with his Spitting Image puppet live on the ITV breakfast show.

The outspoken presenter introduced his caricature and the voice behind it, comedian Luke Kempner, to co-star Susanna Reid and ITV viewers.
Ahead of the big reveal, Piers, 55, joked that the puppet was “just disgustingly grotesque, hideously unflattering and deeply personally offensive as you would all hope”.
Unveiling the puppet, an unhappy Piers said: “I have waited all my adult life for a Spitting Image puppet but I would happily wait another 40 years.”
Susanna, 49, teased her pal Piers by saying the puppet was like “looking in the mirror” for her colleague.
She also joked: “Where has his mouth gone?”
As Piers moaned: “There is no resemblance to me… it has an enormous set of chins.”
Viewers rushed to their keyboards to discuss the hilarious puppet version of Piers.
Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: “OMG Piers’ puppet is actually a Spitting Image.”
Another added: “Piers Morgan spitting image looks just like him. A pursed pair of lips ready to kiss arse on a fat sweaty entitled face.”
A third posted: “Piers is a puppet.”
While a fourth said: “Can’t wait for Spitting Image to come back, especially with Piers.”
Despite Piers’ moans about the puppet, he did say his ego was boosted by now having his own puppet.
