Stacey Solomon has given Gemma Atkinson her backing after she was cruelly mum-shamed by trolls online.
The Loose Women panelist stepped in and took on one of the trolls, as she rushed to defend Gemma.
The 35-year-old Emmerdale and Hollyoaks actress posted a clip of herself working out in her home gym, with baby Mia, one, looking on.
Gemma’s sweet video, which saw her enjoy a vigorous workout on the cross-trainer, was praised by many, but some other social networkers said it was tantamount to poor parenting and she was cruelly slammed by trolls.
Gemma was rudely told to “take a leaf out of Stacey’s book” in the parenting stakes and wrongly said that Mia was the “last thing” on the former glamour model’s mind.
Gemma shared the barrage of online hate she’d received on her social media page, and Stacey stepped in to defend her.
Stacey took the troll head on and said: “Marie, Marie, Marie where do I start.
“It might shock you to know that sometimes just sometimes I might put myself first.”
Stacey continued: “Some days I chose Peaky Blinders over Pepper Pig. Crisp over carrots, and sometimes I just lock myself in the toilet and pretend I am doing the longest poo in the world to get some me time.
“Gemma you are smashing it. Keep being the amazing mum to the woman you are raising.”
Stacey rounded off her message with a notably positive note, as she showed her support to Gemma and mothers in general.
She concluded: “Hold your head high and take no notice of anyone who tries to drag you down.
“Women supporting women and mothers supporting mothers is so important.”
