Stephanie Davis has let rip at children’s cartoon character Peppa Pig – accusing the show of only portraying a nuclear family and not catering for single parents or same sex families.
Taking to Instagram, former Hollyoaks star Steph, who used to date Celebrity Big Brother star Jeremy McConnell, branded Peppa a ‘brat’ before revealing the extreme measures she’s taken to stop her son Caben watching the show.
Letting rip on her Instagram story, Steph, who quit Hollyoaks earlier this year, fumed: “Is it just me or is every kids programme, like nuclear families – mummy and daddy?
“We put Peppa Pig on in the morning but it’s just awkward because he [Caben] hasn’t got a dad.
“I just don’t want it affecting how he feels or thinks about himself. Why are we so behind the times? Seriously.”

Not stopping there, Steph continued: “Is there any single parent programmes? I don’t see two dads or two mummies or multi racial families.
“Any to make our next generation good and nothing like our narrow minded judgemental one that we have experience.”
Clearly frustrated, the Scouse gal raged: “PS Peppa is a brat too and NOT a good example to children.

“Think it’s time to say Peppa is not going on anymore. I have to admit I built resentment towards a cartoon pig during lockdown.
“I wouldn’t bare another second of listening to that flipping theme tune anymore… so I told Caben he had corona and couldn’t come on for a while.
“I couldn’t bare another day of her oinks or laugh.”
Steph gave birth to Caben during her turbulent relationship with McConnell in 2017.

She has raised the youngster as a single parent following a court battle with the tattooed model in which he was charged with assault of her and was sentenced to time behind bars.
