Steve Irwin's son Robert injured after 'massive' mountain bike crash

Steve Irwin’s son Robert Irwin has revealed he’s been left injured after a “massive” mountain bike crash.

The 16-year-old took to his Instagram page to tell fans about the incident and share a picture of his injury.

The TV personality and photographer told fans he suffered a separated shoulder in the crash.

The photo saw Robert wearing a sling and giving a thumbs up while in a blood-splattered Australia Zoo uniform.

He also appeared to have small gashes on his face.

Addressing his 2.2million followers, Robert wrote: “Wisdom teeth healed just in time for a massive crash on my mountain bike that resulted in a separated shoulder!”

Fans instantly began sending their well wishes to Robert in the comment section.

One told him: “Sending prayers your way!”

While another added: “Oh no! Hope you’re ok!”

A third chimed in: “Bless your heart! Hope you feel better soon!”

As a fourth worried fan said: “At first a thought an animal attacked you!”

Robert’s dad Steve, nicknamed The Crocodile Hunter, died back in September 2006 after being pierced in the chest by a stingray barb while filming in Australia’s Great Barrier Reef.

The Australian zookeeper, TV personality, and conservationist was a big fan favourite – with many still distraught over his death.

The Irwin family have kept up Steve’s conservationist work, with Robert and Steve’s daughter Bindi, 21, regularly giving fans updated on their missions.

Unfortunately the family no longer speak to Steve’s dad Bob Irwin as the family became embroiled in a feud after Steve’s death.
