AJ Pritchard has dropped a massive hint, leading fans to believe that Philip Schofield may now feature in the line up for the next heats of Strictly Come Dancing.
The 25-year-old star, who previously competed as a pro dancer on the programme, opened up about how he’d “love” to see the This Morning host on the show, even calling him a “great dancer”.
Last year, AJ called it quits and left the BBC favourite, in a bid to pursue a new business opportunity FutureLearn – having just completed a course in screenwriting and social media – with his Love Island star brother, Curtis.
With Phil already rumoured to be in talks with producers after coming out as gay earlier this year, and added speculation that the show will incorporate same-sex parings, it seems like the Schofe could be a good bet.

Delving into his thoughts about the 53-year-old daytime TV host competing and the prospect of same-sex pairing in the next series, AJ certainly didn’t hold back.
Speaking to The Sun, he said: “I think Philip Schofield would be great on Strictly.”
Reminiscing about Phil’s dancing talents, AJ added: “He got up on This Morning once with Holly and did a bit of a boogie and dance, and he is entertaining, and he is such a nice guy.

“To see him learn and put him under a bit of pressure would always be funny, I’m sure.
“It would be great if he was part of the first same sex couple on Strictly – I would love to see that.”
Although, however infused the former Latin and Ballroom dancing expert was about same-sex pair up’s, it seems some of his former peers were less reluctant to sign up.

Throwing light on the situation behind-the-scenes, he explained: “I know certain pro dancers would like to dance with a woman because that is what tradition is, and it kind of makes sense but it is very much down to someone’s personal opinion of what Ballroom and Latin dancing actually is.
“My view is, for example with Ballroom and Latin, they do same sex competitions for under 12s and there are usually more girls than boys who want to dance and so there would be all-girl partnerships.
“For me dancing isn’t about the sex, it’s just about two people dancing and performing together and telling the story – it doesn’t matter if it’s too men or two women.
“It is just about dancing and telling the story – why would sex get in the way of that?”
Strictly Come Dancing is set to return to BBC One in October
