The Chase fans gobsmacked as contestant says 'pass' for nearly every question

The Chase fans were lost for words after contestant Craig passed on almost every single one of his cash builder questions on today’s show.

The TV hopeful appeared on the show in order to win as much money as possible, in an effort to pay to attend a number of courses.

Seemingly letting his nerves get the better of him, Craig passed on the first three questions asked by host Bradley Wash.

To make matters worse, when he did answer a question, he got it wrong.

Clearly rattled, Craig tried to find his footing but ended up passing on another two questions.

Luckily for the contestant, he managed to pull things back and get two questions correct – meaning he took on the chaser with £2,000 in the bank.

During Friday’s episode, it was the turn of The Vixen, Jenny Ryan, to take on the competition.

The tough quiz ace appeared on Simon Cowell’s X Factor celebrity special last year, almost taking home the top prize.

Despite Craig’s disastrous start, things turned around for the star.

Thanks to a couple of incorrect answers by The Vixen, he managed to make it home with all the money.

His success means that he was guaranteed a place in the final chase.

Despite pulling it back, viewers took to Twitter to cruelly mock Craig’s use of the pass option.

“Don’t give up the day job Craig,” one viewer swiped.

Another added: “Craig got very nervous didn’t he.”

Meanwhile, a third added: “How did he manage to get home with two grand?”

Fingers crossed Craig can prove the viewers wrong and make it to the finish line with cash in his pocket.

The Chase airs on weekdays at 5pm.
