The Chase fans were convinced they had spotted a spelling error on tonight’s episode, after reading the name of one of the contestants.
Player number four stood over her name, which was spelt out as “Clohe,” though pronounced as “Chloe”.
Taking to Twitter, certain viewers wondered whether the unusual spelling was a mistake, with show bosses mixing up the lettering behind the scenes.
One said: “Do we blame @itv or Chloe for her mis-spelt name on #thechase?”
A second added: “Er… no. That’s not how you spell Clohe.”
While a third chimed: “Eh? Who spells the name Chloe as Clohe?”
“#TheChase can we start with Clohe? It’s Chloé, end of!” added a fourth.
However, Clohe – who was watching the episode from home at the same time – was quick to hit back, as she assured viewers she was aware of her name’s unusual spelling.
She tweeted: “So my episode of #TheChase is currently airing again… can’t wait for the tweets telling me I spell my name like a b****** AGAIN.”
Clohe made it to the final, having accepted a low offer of minus £1,000 and escaping The Vixen Jenny Ryan’s clutches.
Hoping to make some cash on the show, Clohe revealed she was saving for a house with her boyfriend – though she secretly planned to spend any winnings on a dog.
Speaking to host Bradley Walsh, she said: “My boyfriend and I are saving for a house.
Before adding: “But, my boyfriend won’t let me get a pug until we save for the house.”
Unfortunately, Clohe left the show empty-handed, when The Vixen beat her in the final round with extra time to spare.
The Chase airs on weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
