The Chase returned to our screens this afternoon for the latest instalment of the ITV quiz show.
Host Bradley Walsh welcomed four new contestants to the show today for the fourth episode of the week.
The cheeky presenter was eager to see them get through to the final with some money in-hand.
Anne “The Governess” Hegerty was in the hot seat tonight trying to prevent the hopefuls from going home with the cash prize.
Andy, Laurie, Mike and Julia all took it in turns to take in the cash-builder round, and later went head-to-head with The Governess in an intense round of general knowledge questions.
All team players made it though to through to the final chase apart from Laurie.
Laurie from Merthyr Tydfil had a confident start in the cash builder round but was stumped in the head-to-head round as she couldn’t keep up with quiz champion Anne.
The three remaining contestants managed to get a grand total of 19 correct answers in the final Chase round.
ITV viewers were distracted during the tense final Chase this evening as Anne said the word “t*t”.
Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: “Anne just said t*t”.
Another added: “T*t” with several laughing emojis.
A third pointed out : “Anne said t*t”.
A fourth posted: “T*t klaxon.”
Of course, Anne was just answering a question regarding birds.
Fans will be seeing a lot more of Anne and her co-stars in The Chase spin-off series Beat The Chasers.
The ITV quiz show will debut next year in a primetime slot, seeing huge cash prizes up for grabs if contestants can outsmart the quiz veterans.
All five current Chasers will take part in the show: Jenny ‘The Vixen’ Ryan, Anne ‘The Governess’ Hegerty, Shaun ‘The Dark Destroyer’ Wallace, Mark ‘The Beast’ Labbett and Paul ‘The Sinnerman’ Sinha.
