The Chase's Bradley Walsh snaps at show bosses over 'toughest quiz questions ever'

The Chase’s Bradley Walsh felt some of the quiz questions were a little unfair tonight, as contestant Bhagwan stepped up to the plate.

Unfortunately, the dentist failed to earn anything in the cash builder round and was forced to face Chaser Anne Hegerty with zero funds.

When Bhagwan got question after question wrong, Bradley fumed at the question writers, suggesting the standard was too high for certain contestants.

Throwing his arms up in the air, he exclaimed: “These are the toughest questions ever on The Chase! This is ludicrous!’

Luckily, working towards just £0, Bhagwan managed to make it through to the final – leaving Bradley relieved.

He remarked: “That’s brilliant! There’s some great answers there as well. Terrific.

“Thrilled that Bhagwan went through!”

Bradley was baffled by the high standards of questions on today’s show

Earlier in the episode, Bradley had viewers cracking up when he booed a contestant over her choice of occupation.

Bradley asked quiz-hopeful Maureen what she did for a living in the years before she decided to retire.

Maureen confessed she was employed as an “asset valuer for the Inland Revenue,” prompting Bradley to start booing loudly.

Shrugging her shoulders, Maureen insisted: “Somebody needs to do it…”

She proved her chops seconds later when she scooped up an impressive £9,000 in the cash builder round.

With the team whooping and cheering around her, Chaser Anne predicted she would be up against a “super team” at the end of the episode.

Unfortunately, Maureen got knocked out when a question about Charles Dickens threw her off-kilter.

Anne was impressed by her knowledge, however, as she remarked: “That’s one of the best players I’ve played in a long time.”

The Chase airs on weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
