The Chase's Shaun Wallace left embarrassed over string of errors on ITV show

The Chase star Shaun Wallace wasn’t having a good day on Sunday’s episode of the ITV show as he was left red-faced over a series of errors.

Shaun, 60, is a quizzing expert, but he wasn’t performing well on the show has he made several mistakes.

The chaser, known on the show as The Dark Destroyer, answered a question about S.I. Units incorrectly.

He made a couple more slip-ups, and his mistakes didn’t go unnoticed by viewers.

One fan tweeted: “Shaun’s not having a good day #thechase”, with a laughing emoji.

While another wrote: “Shaun doesn’t know his S.I. Units”

“Something not right, Brad knows more than Shaun today #TheChase”, penned a third.

The Mastermind champ did however recover from his errors and began playing well again.

When it came to the final player, Shaun’s performance didn’t matter.

The contestant named Alan was branded one of the “worst players ever” after he scored £0 in the cash-builder round.

Nerves definitely got the better of the poor player as he didn’t answer any question asked by host Bradley Walsh correctly.

As a result, he wasn’t playing for any money as he went up against chaser Shaun Wallace.

Viewers went into complete meltdown on Twitter as they witnessed the rare show moment.

One said: “That was quite possibly the worst cash build up game on #TheChase there has ever been”.

While another laughed: “HOWLING #TheChase”.

A third added: “Oh Alan!!! #TheChase”.

“Long time since someone’s got £0 #TheChase”, penned a fourth.

Sadly Alan didn’t make it into the final round against Shaun.

Lorna and Tim were the only two to get through to the final chase, and the duo were hoping to win £8,000.

They managed to gain a 15 step lead ahead of the chaser, but Shaun was just too good and he caught them with just 10 seconds to spare.

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
