The Walking Dead sees zombies – or walkers as they’re known in the franchise – biting the living and infecting them, causing them to turn into the undead and roam the land in search of flesh.
And it seems one actor from the AMC series has taken his role a little too seriously, as he was jailed for assault after biting a fan he started dating after meeting at a convention.
American actor Michael Mundy, 52, met British mum Beverly Jackson, 41, at a fan convention eight years ago before he messaged her and asked to sleep in her spare room two years later on his next UK visit.
The duo started dating, with Beverly describing him as “charming”, but things soon turned sour, with her saying that “he became more and more abusive”.
She explained that Michael first attacked her when they were in a hotel room in Germany in 2018.

Speaking to The Sun, the Liverpool lady said: “He hit me around the fact, bit me on the hands, arm and back, kicked me and threw me out of the room.”
Beverly added that the abuse got worse and Michael was eventually handed a short jail sentence in November 2019 after he was convicted of assault, and was banned from going near her.
Last month, Michael was recalled to jail after he breached the restraining order.

He was homeless after his release and is reportedly due to be released from HMP Liverpool soon – something Beverly is concerned about.
She said: “I fear he won’t stop until I’m dead.”
The Walking Dead is currently airing its 10th season, which sees the protagonists fighting against the terrifying Whisperers.
The show, based on a comic series of the same name, has so-far spawned spin-off Fear The Walking Dead, with a second spin-off, World Beyond, premiering next month.
The Walking Dead airs on Fox UK, Mondays at 9pm and is available to stream on NOW TV
