This Morning fans were left “disgusted” during today’s episode as Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford tried “seafood sauce” on scones.
Fans were not convinced as the TV couple tried the new topping from M&S which attempted to end the cream and jam on scones debate.
The supermarket are selling strawberry flavoured cream to have on a scone instead of covering the baked good with jam and cream separately.
Ruth said: “It looks revolting I have to say.”
After the pair tried it Eamonn revealed he quite liked it, saying: “My favourite food is strawberry angel delight, and it takes like that.”
Ruth however wasn’t a fan as she remarked: “It takes synthetic if I’m honest.”
Fans were outraged at the controversial topping and went into meltdown on Twitter.
One said: “That scone looked like it had seafood sauce on it” adding a sickened-face emoji.
While another moaned: “They look disgusting.”
A third added: “As featured on today’s @thismorning M&S strawberry flavoured clotted cream. Meant to solve the great scone debate, but it’s a whole new level of wrong.”
“Angel delight on a scone? That’s just filth!” remarked a fourth.
Also during today’s This Morning, Emmerdale actor Tony Audenshaw appeared on the show flaunting his new lockdown look.
He looked completely different during his interview with Eamonn and Ruth as he revealed his beard transformation.
Tony’s Emmerdale character Bob Hope is know for being clean-shaven, but Tony was sporting a brand new bushy beard.
One viewer tweeted the TV star saying: “I just had to follow you after watching you on This Morning! What a nice guy! Shame the beard has to come off!”
While another wasn’t too keen on his new facial hair, saying: “Get a shave Bob.”
