This Morning viewers were left scratching their heads during today’s show, when the theme tune sounded dramatically different as the opening credits rolled.
Certain fans wondered whether their TV was broken, as the usual This Morning jingle was replaced by a more instrumental version.
Luckily, presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby were quick to explain the unexpected show mix-up, as they greeted viewers from the ITV studios.
Host Phillip addressed the change as soon as the camera panned the studio, saying: “Well, that took you by surprise.”
Holly agreed: “Us too, actually.”

Welcoming viewers to the Thursday edition of the show, Holly continued: “You might have noticed something a bit different about our opening titles.”
Over on Twitter, viewers agreed the change in tune had taken them by surprise, as they took to their keyboards to weigh in on the conversation.
One said: “Generally thought that my TV was broken when I heard the #ThisMorning theme tune.”

And a second asked: “What’s with the music?”
“Should definitely do a different instrumental version of the theme song every day to start the show,” chimed a third.
However, the presenting duo went on to explain that the music was played by their “lockdown legend” of the day – a talented young schoolboy.

The musical teen, George Redmond, appeared on the show via video chat, playing his glockenspiel in tune with the theme music on the show.
His proud dad revealed the 14-year-old could play any theme tune on the unusual instrument – including the accompanying jingle to ITV’s The Chase.
This Morning airs on weekdays at 10am on ITV.
