Tom Cruise 'frustrated' as motorbike explodes on Mission Impossible set

Mission Impossible faces yet another hurdle after a motorbike explosion set alight the set.

This came despite the cast and crew recently returning to work following the coronavirus lockdown.

The film starring Tom Cruise. which is currently being filmed in Oxfordshire. was thrown into jeopardy when governments across the world called for an immediate lockdown in a bid to contain the deadly virus.

Tom, 58, is said to have been heading to the “snow scene” filmed at a quarry when the on-set stuntman’s motorbike exploded following a death-defying jump from a ramp.

It’s been reported that the stunt is one of the most expensive that had been filmed in the UK and took around six weeks for crew and cast to prepare for.

The mole went on to reveal just how the freak accident occurred, insisting it was down to the hot weather.

“The heat and the friction of the tyres meant that when the bike crashed, the cardboard padding sparked and went up in flames.

“The smoke was so bad they had to close a nearby RAF airfield.

“Fortunately, nobody was hurt but it’s a total catastrophe, not to mention extremely expensive for all concerned.

“Tom is very frustrated. Nobody wants more delays.”
