Tom Parker's heartbreaking gender reveal post weeks before brain tumour news

The Wanted’s Tom Parker shared a series of baby gender reveal snaps weeks before his heartbreaking brain tumour diagnosis.

Tom, 32, and his wife Kelsey are already parents to a little girl, and are now expecting their second child together.

The music producer posted a sweet set of photographs earlier this year, sharing the news he was having a baby boy.

Tom and Kelsey posed among blue smoke, the couple sharing a sweet kiss as they announced they were having a son.

The second picture saw them all smiles with their 15-month-old daughter, Aurelia, a bunch of adorable blue balloons next to them.

Tom captioned the Instagram post: “It’s a BOY!!!”

Tom and Kelsey spoke to OK! magazine about the shocking news of his brain tumour diagnosis.

They said that doctors confirmed he had a tumour that was known as a grade four glioblastoma, saying it was “the worst case scenario”.

Tom told the publication: “I’m still in complete shock, it’s so much to take in.”

He explained: “I knew something wasn’t right, but I never expected it to be this. You never think this will happen to you.”

Tom broke the news on social media today (Monday) with a heartbreaking statement.

It read: “Hey guys, you know that we’ve both been quiet on social media for a few weeks and it’s time to tell you why.

“There’s no easy way to say this but I’ve sadly been diagnosed with a brain tumour and I’m already undergoing treatment.

“We decided, after a lot of thought, that rather than hiding away and trying to keep it a secret, we would do one interview where we could lay out all the details and let everyone know the facts in our own way.”

Tom’s message continued: “We are all absolutely devastated but we are gonna fight this all the way. We don’t want your sadness, we just want love and positivity and together we will raise awareness of this terrible disease and look for all available treatment options.

“It’s gonna be a tough battle but with everyone’s love and support we are going to beat this.”
