Tory Lanez arrested after Megan Thee Stallion 'shot as she tried to leave car'

Rapper Tory Lanez is believed to be responsible for shooting fellow US hip-hop artist Megan Thee Stallion, twice, in the feet after an argument.

Megan, 25, is reported to have been shot in the feet as she attempted to get out of Lanez’s SUV following a party in the Hollywood Hills area of Los Angeles.

US tabloid TMZ claimed that the pair left a party alongside Megan’s friend in the early hours of Sunday morning (July 12).

It’s believed that Megan and her pal later decided that they wanted to leave the vehicle which was being driven by Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson after the trio became embroiled in an argument.

Witnesses are allegedly not co-operating with Los Angeles Police Department to confirm the details surrounding the shooting.

At the time of the shooting, video footage showed Megan leaving bloody footprints on the pavement while Lanez could be seen lying on the side of the road.

Lanez was granted bail at $35,000 (£27.9k) and will appear in court on October 13.
