TOWIE ‘s Pete ‘The Essex Pirate’ Wicks and James ‘Lockie’ Lock have been showing what they are made of in the ring ahead of their Lucha Libre wrestling match.
Mexican tequila Jose Cuervo challenged Pete and Lockie to train to become Libre wrestlers.
Now footage has emerged of them being trained to do the sport inspired inspired by Mexico’s Day of the Dead festival by Brit instructor, Garry Vanderhorne.
In the hilarious clip, the TOWIE stars taunt each other as Garry teaches them how to do flying punches, dropkicks and “smack talk”.
At the start of the clip, Gary asks the pair as they stand in a ring in vests and shorts: “It takes heart, it takes guts, it takes stamina, have you got what it takes?”
Pete confidently responds, saying: “I reckon I got this in the bag.”
Lockie then fires back: “You having a bubble? [cockney rhyming slag for disbelief]”
Garry then tells the pair that before they learn the art of Lucha Libre they have to learn the art of smack talk and asks “whose first?”
Lockie taunts Pete, saying: “C’mon then.”
Pete rages: “I’ll hit you so many times, you’ll actually think you’re in Mexico.”
Unperturbed Lockie fires back: “Fella I’ll hit you so hard, I’ll knock you into next week.”
Pete then tells him: “I’ll slap you back to Dagenham [Lockie’s home town in East London] you melt.”
The pair are then seen taunting each other as they practice in the ring.
At one point as Pete practices bouncing off the ropes a smug Lockie sits on the edge of the ring and mocks him.
Turning to the camera he says: “He’s here to run the ropes, come fight night I’ll be running rings round him.”
Lockie is also seen practising spectacular dropkicks off the top of the ring.
Pete Wicks said ahead of the pair’s training: “He might be tall but he’s about as agile as a tree is Lockie.
“I’m going to run so many rings around him that he’ll think he’s wrestling a hundred Petes and he’ll melt like the melt that he is in the face of my red-hot moves.
“Get ready Lockie – the pirate’s coming to plunder.”
Lockie added, “Forget The Rock, meet The Lock! Anyone that sees me in this get-up will know I was born to wear it. Half pint Pete won’t stand a chance.
“This challenge from Jose Cuervo is definitely going to settle who’s the better wrestler (me, obviously) and I can’t wait to sip on the cocktail of champions after I’ve sent Pete packing.”
