Westworld star Vincent Cassel 'involved in road accident' as he has 'ugly fall'

Westworld actor Vincent Cassel has reportedly been involved in a road accident.

Several French publications say the 53-year-old actor was the victim of an “ugly fall”.

It’s claimed the star was in the municipality of Arbonne, near Biarritz at the time of the accident.

Reports also say Cassel is suffering from a “slight injury to the face”.

Daily Star Online has contacted a representative of Cassel for comment.

The French actor currently stars as Engerraund Serac in the HBO television series Westworld.

He also achieved recognition for his performance as a troubled French Jewish youth, in Mathieu Kassovitz’s 1995 film La Haine (Hate), for which he received two César Award nominations.

Cassel gained wide recognition with English-speaking audiences for his performances in Ocean’s Twelve (2004) and Ocean’s Thirteen (2007), as well as Eastern Promises (2007), Black Swan (2010), and Jason Bourne (2016).

He is also well known for playing the infamous French bank-robber Jacques Mesrine in Mesrine: Killer Instinct and Mesrine: Public Enemy Number One (both in 2008).

Throughout his career, which has spanned over three decades, the star has earned critical acclaim and numerous accolades, including a César Award in 2009 and a Canadian Screen Award in 2016.

Cassel was born in Paris, France, to journalist mother Sabine Litique and actor Jean-Pierre Cassel (born Jean-Pierre Crochon).

His brother, Mathias, is a rapper with the group Assassin under the name Rockin’ Squat.[3] His half-sister, Cécile Cassel, is also an actress.
