Actor, writer and comedian Matt Lucas will be joining Noel Fielding in the Great British Bake Off tent.
Speaking about his new venture, Matt said: “I’m chuffed to bits to be joining the most delicious show on television.
“I can’t wait to break bread with Noel, Prue and Paul and meet the brilliant bakers.
“And bearing in mind my love of cake, I’ve already ordered some much larger trousers in anticipation. See you in the tent!”
Filming for the 11th series of The Great British Bake Off begins this spring, and we can’t wait to see how the funnyman does.

But who is Matt Lucas? Here we take a little look at what he has done since he had the country in hysterics with Little Britain.
Who is Matt Lucas?
Matt is an actor, writer and comedian from London.
He first came to prominence in Shooting Stars with Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer.
However, he is probably best known for the smash hit series Little Britain.
Together with David Williams he created three BBC series and two Christmas specials.
