Jada Pinkett Smith has been admirably honest about how the coronavirus lockdown has affected her 23-year marriage to Hollywood actor Will Smith.
Actress Jada, 48, opened up about her marriage to the star in a frank chat on her Facebook Watch series Red Table Talk, in a segment called “How Your Relationship Can Survive Quarantine”.
The Girls Trip star shared: “It’s challenging. You’re forced to look at things differently.”
Jada also admitted that her knee-jerk reaction is to “fight”.
In a teaser clip, Jada added: “One of the things I realise is that I don’t know Will at all…”
Jada is joined on the show by regular panelists – mum Adrienne and daughter Willow Smith, 19.
Intimacy expert Micahela Boehm, who Jada describes as she and Will’s “personal counsellor”, also stopped by for a chat via video link.
Jada has been praised for being so candid about her own life on the talk show series, which saw her previously open up about her former “porn addiction”.
She divulged: “Back in the day I had a little porn addiction, but I wasn’t in a relationship when I had a porn addiction, believe it or not, thank goodness.
“I actually feel like I was using ‘addiction’ a little lightly.
“And maybe I’ll say now that I had an unhealthy relationship to porn at one point in my life where I was trying to practice abstinence.”
Daughter Willow then asked her if her former addiction came from an “emotional” place.
Jada responded: “It was actually like filling an emptiness, at least you think it is, but it’s actually not.”
