Alan Carr has claimed drag queens are the only comics who don’t have to be PC.
The tele funnyman, 44, reckons they can still get away with near-the-knuckle gags that are no longer considered appropriate for other performers.
While watching TV drag queens Baga Chipz, 31, and The Vivienne, 28, at a gig, he was stunned by what they got away with.
Chat show host Alan said: “We have never laughed so much at a show. It was anarchic. It is probably what stand-up comedy was initially.
“But now rightly or wrongly we can’t say these things. But they were saying such career-destroying stuff.”

Alan was with fellow stand-up stars Romesh Ranganathan, 42, and Rob Beckett, 35, in the audience.
And all three of them were shocked by the gags because they know they couldn’t say similar stuff without risking a backlash from snowflakes.
Alan said: “Three comedians were like, ‘What?’. Romesh and Rob said to me, ‘That is the funniest night we’ve ever had’.

“The Vivienne and Baga Chipz were singing, dancing, doing impersonations and stand-up. I was like, ‘Wow, there is a real energy here, which we need right now’.”
The Vivienne and Baga Chipz became household names after appearing on the first UK season of the hit show, Ru Paul’s Drag Race.
Since their stint on the show, they have gone on to win over a new legion of fans.
They also continue to perform sell-out shows across the country, with their audiences roaring with laughter – lockdown permitted.
The Vivienne, recently spoke about her support after it was revealed that the show would feature their first transgender contestant.
Alan is a judge on BBC Three series RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, which returns for a new series on Thursday.
