Alex Beresford, 40, has been seen for the first time since Piers Morgan quit Good Morning Britain following a live TV row with the ITV weatherman.
Piers, 55, stormed off GMB on Tuesday after becoming embroiled in a heated debate with Alex over his comments about the Duchess of Sussex about Meghan Markle following her two hour tell all with Oprah Winfrey.
Piers, who has made no secret of his displeasure for Prince Harry’s wife, said he doesn’t believe a word the former Suits actress said – adding he wanted more context on the alleged racist comment made about her then unborn baby’s skin.
Meghan stunned the world by claiming to Orpah that in a conversation she wasn’t a part of that a member of the royal family ‘raised concerns’ about the colour Archie’s skin would be.

Both she and Prince Harry refused to give any context to the comment, nor would the say who said it.
Oprah later added on CBS that Princess Diana’s son told her off camera the comment was not made by The Queen, 94, or Prince Phillip, 99.
During Tuesday’s episode of Good Morning Britain, Susanna Reid was left trying to play peacemaker as Alex and Piers went to war over the claims.
While Piers argued more context was needed, Alex insisted that the comment was wrong and should never be downplayed.
In a statement posted to Twitter on Thursday morning, Alex said: “There is so much that could be said. Piers’ departure sincerely wasn’t the conclusion I was hoping for.

“Over the last few years, Piers and I have had a lively, cheeky on-air relationship.
“We both wanted to be on the show Tuesday morning, and from our very public conversations on Twitter, we both knew how strongly our opinions differed on the treatment of Harry and Meghan pre and post the interview that has split the world.
“I hoped we could reach a place of understanding. It’s sad that we weren’t able to get there, but challenging his opinion was not an outrage. On this occasion, we have to agree to disagree.
“I didn’t want him to quit, but I did want him to listen.
“Personally, Piers has always supported my growth. He’s given me advice on several occasions and for that I am grateful. I wish him well!”

Piers decided to leave Good Morning Britain on Tuesday evening after a meeting with ITV bosses.
It’s reported they asked him to apologise for his comments live on air and Piers refused.
Meghan Markle made an official complaint to the CEO of ITV over the former newspaper editor’s comments.
An ITV statement simply said: “Following discussions with ITV, Piers Morgan has decided now is the time to leave Good Morning Britain.
“ITV has accepted this decision and has nothing further to add.”
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday morning, Piers stood by his decision saying: “On Monday, I said I didn’t believe Meghan Markle in her Oprah interview.
“I’ve had time to reflect on this opinion, and I still don’t. If you did, that’s OK. Freedom of speech is a hill I’m happy to die on. Thanks for all the love, and hate. I’m off to spend more time with my opinions.”
Since then Piers has been offer a job by Andrew Neil on his new TV start up GB News which is set to launch in the coming weeks.

A short statement from Buckingham Palace was released on Wednesday in which they expressed their sadness at Meghan and Harry’s situation.
However, they added that “some recollections may vary”.
The statement read: “The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan.
“The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. Whilst some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.

“Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members.”
On Thursday morning Prince William briefly addressed the claims of racism made by Harry and Meghan during a visit with his wife Kate Middleton to an east London school.
After saying he has not spoken to his brother since the interview went out, he added to a reporter “we’re very much not a racist family”.
