Amanda Holden has responded to the departure of pal Piers Morgan from Good Morning Britain.
The 50-year-old Heart FM radio presenter logged into her Instagram account on Friday morning to post a snap of her and Piers enjoying a glass of wine together.
Alongside the snap shared on her Instagram Story, Amanda penned: “”We’ve both been described as #marmite in our time.
“I don’t always share the same opinions as him but my goodness he’s a good and loyal friend #alwaysthereforeachother.”
Amanda’s sweet tribute comes after she was left in giggles during Wednesday morning’s Heart Radio show after her co-star Jamie Theakston appeared to make a cheeky joke in reference to Piers Morgan storming off GMB.
As the showbiz world reacted to Piers’ departure from the show, Jamie and Amanda had a light-hearted response.
“So we’ve made it to the end of the show, no-one’s stormed out or anything,” Jamie joked.
Amanda found the remark referring to Piers storming of the ITV breakfast show on Tuesday hilarious and was heard giggling as they marked the end of the show.
Piers and Amanda shared the judging panel together on Britain’s Got Talent and remain close pals to this day.
Last month, Piers posted a sweet collage of photos of the pair of them to celebrate Amanda’s 50th birthday.
He wrote: “Happy 50th Birthday to my funny, loyal, naughty and ridiculously youthful friend @noholdenback.
“She always makes me laugh & always has my back. Love her.”
Amanda was clearly touched responding: “Love you. Miss you” with a love heart emoji.

She and Piers have been friends since working together as judges on BGT back in 2007, and have stayed close ever since.
Piers also backed Amanda during her fall-out with Phillip Schofield in 2019, after reports claimed Phillip asked bosses to not have Amanda co-host This Morning with him when Holly Willoughby was away.
He wrote on Twitter in response to a fan: “”Trust me, Amanda Holden is one of the nicest and most genuine people in this tawdry business – and I’ve met most of them…”
Piers’ exit from GMB has been confirmed after he sparked backlash with controversial comments about Meghan Markle following her appearance on Oprah.
An ITV spokesperson said: “Following discussions with ITV, Piers Morgan has decided now is the time to leave Good Morning Britain. ITV has accepted this decision and has nothing further to add.”
During Monday’s show, Piers sparked fury after hearing the duchess’s claim that her request to senior Buckingham Palace officials for help with her mental health and suicidal thoughts was ignored.
