Andi Peters walks off This Morning with competition cash as Phil slams security

Many This Morning fans will recognise that a cash prize has been up for grabs in recent weeks, and in Monday’s episode Andi Peters appeared on screen once again to flog the competition money.

With a constant stream of different prizes on rotation, Monday’s cash prize was a big winner, with £1.2m up for grabs in the form of £10k over 10 years.

Instead of giving viewers the option to take the cash however, Andi decided he had worked hard enough himself.

As he recalled the competition prize to the viewers, he said: “We will give you 10k every month for the next 10 years.

“That’s the big decision to make, the million in one go or what will equate to £1.2m.

“It’s the biggest amount ever given away here on ITV, we’ve done a poll. 41% would take the £1m now and 59% would take the £10k every month for 10 years. First of all, you’ve got to win it

“I would love for you to win £1m now, but do you know what? I’ve done a good day’s work.”

He then proceeded to stuff the lumps of cash down his shirt as he said, “Thanks very much, see you later,” and walked off the stage.

The security guards behind him allowed Andi to just stroll away, but Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield jumped into gear.

Holly said: “You put that back Peters immediately, followed by two burly security guards.”

However, Phil didn’t seem convinced that the security guards were going to be helping them out anytime soon as he added: “Who actually just stood there and let you walk off.

“They didn’t even notice he’s got it!”

The hosts laughed it off with Andi as he declared: “That’s how I roll you see!” as he was able to sneak off with the cash, but despite his best efforts, it is still up for grabs for a winner.

This Morning returns weekdays at 10am on ITV.
