SAS: Who Dares Wins won’t be the same without no-nonsense DS Ant Middleton and it was a bad move by Channel 4 to get rid of him.
Am I surprised? No, of course not.
Shows are being cut left, right, and centre if they’re slightly “offensive” – start preparing your farewell speech for the next showbiz victim.
The outspoken presenter and ex-SAS slammed Channel 4 as “reckless and desperate”, claiming he was planning to leave the show and Channel 4 “wanted to protect their brand” in parting ways with him.
Ant was involved in several scandals in recent months, including tweets about Black Lives Matter and the coronavirus pandemic, encouraging “tough-love” in asking people to carry on as they would normally.
He also came under fire after reportedly making “inappropriate comments” to female staff working on the set of the show.

Speaking to Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid on Good Morning Britain, Ant justified the behaviour suggesting you should expect to see “gritty” and “inappropriate” things and if you’re offended easily “you don’t belong on the set”.
He’s right.
It’s a tough show, the main presenters are ex-SAS soldiers, you’ve got to expect military banter or comments that might touch a nerve. Deal with it.
There’s a rapidly emerging culture of complaining about everything and it’s becoming tedious beyond belief.

What happened to the British stiff upper lip? When did we suddenly cry over everything? It’s becoming unbearably painful learning about stories like this.
Ant also suggested the show is becoming too “controlled”, “managed”, and “inauthentic” which were further reasons that forced him to leave the production.
He even said the show was becoming too similar to Celebrity Big Brother, and I agree – the show shouldn’t be like that.
Its success over the years has come from offering a unique and tough experience that was so different to other shows, and as a viewer, you can see how wet it has become.
Wokeness and PC culture is damaging and making our lives a misery.
I doubt show bosses will be able to find a good match as a replacement for Ant, but don’t worry, he’ll be returning in the upcoming civilian and celebrity series that are due to air later this year.
Influencers breaking the rules
(Image: Instagram/Molly-MaeHague)
Influencers love bending the rules, whether that’s travelling to Dubai in the middle of a pandemic or misleading their millions of followers; it must be a prerequisite before joining the the ranks of UK influencers – whatever that means, just a prat in my eyes.
Molly-Mae Hague has hit headlines after running a competition on Instagram, giving away £8,000 worth of goods including Louis Vuitton luggage and Apple products.
She was reported to the Advertising Standards Authority for breaching rules for online competitions.
The watchdog found that she failed to provide evidence that the winners had been randomly and fairly picked.

This is the second time that Molly-Mae has faced the wrath of the ASA, the first time was after she didn’t disclose an ad for a clothing brand she was working with.
Firstly, there are some sore losers who really found time out of their day to report Molly-Mae to the ASA. Come on, you have to be a total plonker and creep to make reports like that. Fair enough, she broke the rules, but I doubt she intentionally misled followers. Why would she?
In fact, I feel sorry for Molly-Mae.

I’ve been critical of her in the past, but she’s a young internet personality who seems to be endlessly scrutinised.
She altruistically wanted to thank her followers in the form of a giveaway, costing £8k which she claimed was of her own money, and gets reported for it. Maybe leave her alone for once?
Another Love Islander recently under fire was Luke Mabbott, who failed to disclose a paid promotion on TikTok.
The reality contestant was forced to update his caption to make it clear that his post was paid for by a men’s clothing brand. Yawn! Does it really matter?

The ASA are soppy leeches that would be terribly boring at parties, just leave these young people alone. Goodness me.
Several stars have been penalised in the past, notably Made In Chelsea’s Louise Thompson in 2018 when she was stung by the regulator several times, even “banning” one of her Instagram stories.
The moral of this Instagram story, if you happen to find nothing else to do in life and become an influencer, make sure you disclose all your posts to please the grannies at the ASA and don’t book a “work” holiday during a global pandemic, especially when millions have died around the world.
That’s all.
Meghan: this is your biggest role yet, don’t mess up
(Image: AFP via Getty Images)
Here we go! It’s nearly time for Meghan Markle’s biggest role since Suits.
She will be starring in Oprah’s CBS sit-down interview, exposing the trials and tribulations during her time as a senior royal in the UK.
In the dramatic promos teasing the premiere, “Meghan and Harry” (styled in order of importance) melodramatically speaks about the “firm” – referring to Buckingham Palace and the Queen – and not being able to live happy lives free of press intrusion, despite being members of the Royal Family.
Shock, you’re going to get media attention. You knew this, darling.
Anyway, they left the UK for privacy and decided to go on the Late Late Show and meet Oprah Winfrey in a primetime TV interview. Makes total sense.
Best wishes to them, I just want to stop hearing about them.
The Price is not right
(Image: katieprice/Instagram)
Bye, bye. This feels like the 300th husband to have gone though divorce proceedings with Katie Price.
Actually, it’s the third and she has finally separated from hubby Kieran Hayler after she discovered he cheated on the model.
Good news guys, Katie’s new boyfriend (yes, she’s already moved on) was caught by paps leaving Tesco, conveniently pointing a pregnancy test kit towards the barrel of a camera lens. Not staged at all!
Cue the speculation that Katie might be pregnant, and to be honest, I couldn’t care less. Do you?
Bend the cheques like Beckham

The football legend and wannabe “Sir” has recently signed a deal with Disney+ to front a TV show about underprivileged young footballers.
Finally, this might help Becks towards the knighthood he seems desperate for, helping disadvantaged kids play football is the perfect story for him.
The ex-England football player will act as a mentor for the young people, aiming to inspire these inner-city youngsters to achieve their footballing aspirations.
Simon Cowell walking in circles
(Image: FilmMagic)
No wonder the mogul has lost so much weight, I’m seeing the same picture of him walking around a multi-million pound block in Holland Park at least once a day.
The star is usually snapped with Lauren Silverman, his partner, and recently Piers Morgan, and not forgetting his bodyguard walking a few meters behind.
Always the signature jeans that are far too long, mask, and plain black coat — maybe it’s an illusion, because they all look the same.
It got slightly more exciting when the judge was snapped in the middle of what appeared to be an argument with Lauren, maybe it was over the repetitious walks? Or perhaps the Harrods Food Hall closed early? We’ll never know.
I wonder what he speaks about during these walks? Does he get bored of the same route?
Maybe I can join him next time, I heard he’s running auditions. I ought to apply to become Britain’s Next Best Walker.
Where’s the ring, Kim?
(Image: Kim Kardashian/Instagram)
In a recent Instagram post with friend Lala, Kim was spotted without her wedding ring, and she didn’t seem to care.
However, we can’t stop thinking the relationship is salvageable by the amount of photos and videos of Kim wearing Kanye’s Yeezy trainers — we’re getting mixed messages!
Would you wear something that reminds you of your ex-husband? I wouldn’t do it.
Let’s see how the relationship progresses, even though the divorce is going ahead, perhaps the relationship will be amicable as Kanye was very recently caught wearing his wedding ring.
This is becoming too cryptic, or even a Kris Jenner publicity stunt: it’s getting all of us talking.
