Britain’s Got Talent legend Ashley Banjo will join long-standing host Carol Vorderman on stage, to co-host this year’s The Daily Mirror’s Pride of Britain Awards.
Speaking about his new role, Diversity dancing sensation Ashley said: “I feel like I’ve been a part of Pride of Britain for a few years now but the chance to co-host it next to Carol, who is a complete legend and a pro, is amazing. It’s such a special show and a hugely emotional and inspiring night.”
Former Channel 4 Countdown legend Carol has presented the emotional awards ceremony since 2000.
She commented on her confirmed new co-host, saying: “Ashley is a wonderful person and I’m delighted that he’s joining me because he has been involved for a few years now and it just feels right.”

She continued: “The Pride of Britain Awards are incredibly special evening and show to be a part of.”
The awards ceremony is in partnership with TSB and is set to honour this year’s winners at a star-studded ceremony at Grosvenor House in London’s Park Lane.
The lavish location is set to provide the perfect backdrop for the national celebration, that will praise the unsung heroes up and down the country.
Celebrities and public figures are anticipated to flood the event, with high-profile names and even royalty set to be in attendance.

The guest list is set to include the likes of His Royal Highness Prince Charles, ITV presenting legends Ant and Dec, as well as singing sensations Anne-Marie, Pixie Lott and Ed Sheeran, who will perform from his home after contracting Covid-19.
Other famous faces expected to be in attendance are YouTuber KSI, football legend Harry Kane, Joanna Lumley OBE, Stephen Fry, the Irish boyband Westlife, Jordan Pickford and Sharon Stone.
As always, the ceremony will act as the stage for people sharing extraordinary stories of bravery, selflessness and phenomenal fundraising achievements.

Surprises aplenty are set to wow the audience, with stars from the worlds of film, television, music and sport uniting to pay tribute to ordinary members of the public who have done truly extraordinary things.
The awards show is back in person for the first time in two years – due to the Coronavirus pandemic preventing it recently.
The Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards 2021 will be even more important than ever, as it celebrates the best people from around the UK, in what has been a difficult time for all.
The Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards, in partnership with TSB, will broadcast on ITV on November 4 at 8pm .
