Ashley Cain's daughter 'in a lot of pain' ahead of treatment in Singapore

Ashley Cain’s daughter Azaylia was “in a lot of pain” on the day of a bone marrow procedure.

Ashley and Azaylia’s mum Safiyya Vorajee are planning to make the trip to Singapore where Azaylia will receive specialist treatment for a rare, aggressive form of cancer known as acute myeloid leukaemia.

Generous stars have helped the parents afford the treatment, with Molly-Mae Hague and Kate and Rio Ferdinand among those donating.

UK doctors have been preparing samples of Azaylia’s blood to send to Singapore ahead of the family’s arrival.

And Safiyya said it had been really tough to watch her baby daughter be put into an induced sleep for a bone marrow procedure.

“What a tough day she’s had, bless her,” she wrote, “She’s been in a lot of pain today.”

Safiyya told in a piece to camera: “Azaylia is currently in theatre having a bone marrow done. Watching your daughter being put to sleep, again, really pulls another level of heartstrings.

“Just sit in isolated room waiting for her to come out. These days feel so long and they feel so tough but you’d do anything for your child — anything like — you don’t care about how you are yourself.

“So many people ask how are you feeling, how is this and we have one destination and that is to get to Singapore and to get through this.”

Once Azaylia had recovered from her blood transfusion, Safiyya told that she was “stable.”

“The procedures are all done and we are currently on a blood transfusion. Azaylia has recovered, she had to have blood taken from her,” she remarked.

“60ml can leave you very anaemic and your blood pressure and heart rate can go anywhere while blood’s being taken from your body but luckily Azaylia was very stable.”

Meanwhile, dad Ashley has offered heartfelt thanks to all those who donated toward Azaylia’s treatment.

“I am absolutely lost for words,” he wrote as he shared the news that the GoFundMe page had reached £1 million, “I’m overwhelmed at the sheer amount of support that you guys have given us.

“People have shared the post, donated – honestly the amount of kindness that you’ve shown, the amount you have helped us, it’s just incredible. Me and my family are eternally grateful to you guys!”
