BBC Breakfast viewers would have been forgiven for thinking they were seeing double on Wednesday morning, as presenter Dan Walker looked like he was interviewing himself thanks to a matching outfit with a guest.
Dan was seen interviewing BBC’s Chief Political Correspondent Adam Fleming on a split screen, and viewers noticed they had a matching navy blue suit, dark red tie and white shirt.
One tweeted Dan to say: “Been up for about 10 minutes, saw the wide shot of Dan Walker and Adam and thought they were the same person,” with crying laughing emojis.
Fortunately Dan saw the funny side.

He shared the message, saying: “We have become The Day Today… I am interviewing myself!”
The “other Dan”, Adam, replied: “Same tailor, different tanning salon,” with a winking emoji.
The Day Today was a famous spoof news TV show from 1994, that was broadcast in BBC2.
It was a tongue in cheek take on the British style of broadcasting at the time.

It featured silly stories, patronising vox pops, terrible research and a soon-to-be-famous sports reporter.
The show starred Christopher Morris, Patrick Marber, and Steve Coogan.
It also featured the character of Alan Partridge as the bumbling sports reporter.
Dan also had a rant about people using the phrase ‘staycation’.
He tweeted: “Am I alone in being bemused by the ‘new’ definition of ‘staycation’?”

“I may be being daft but, if you stay at home (& do day trips etc) that’s a ‘staycation’ isn’t it? If you go to a hotel, B&B or rental somewhere in the same country, that’s still a HOLIDAY! Rant over”
It seemed many people agreed with him, as the tweet clocked up more than 14,000 likes at the time of writing.
