Biggest cheapskate celebs – autograph as tip, vouchers, economy flights and tea bags

They are the loaded celebrities with some penny-pinching habits.

Yesterday we revealed how cheapskate Status Quo singer Francis Rossi admits leaving his £90,000 BMW in the garage to maintain its value and gets a lift instead.

He said: “I look after money. I’m not miserly, but I worry about money long before there’s any need to.

“I’m 72 and it has hit me that most of my life has gone. I’ve always figured I’ll live until I’m 93.

“How the b****y hell am I going to finance that? My career’s not suddenly going to take off again, is it?”

But the 72-year-old, worth a cool £6million, is not the only star who can be a bit of a skinflint, as Daily Star reveals.

Peter Crouch

The cheeky ex-Premier League footballer isn’t short of a bob or two but admitted putting wife Abbey onto economy flights, when he’s not with her, to save cash!

Mark Zuckerberg

Despite being worth billions the frugal Facebook founder apparently left a zero tip on his bill when dining at a restaurant in Rome in 2012 with wife Priscilla Chan, despite saying he’d enjoyed the meal.

He’s also said to have gone through a hotel bill with a fine-tooth comb arguing about the charge for a soft drink.

Rod Stewart

The crooner is worth £224million but was once branded as “tight as two coats of paint” by Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood.

Rod reportedly once drove back 10 miles to a restaurant for overcharging him on a £4 bottle of water.

Paul McCartney

Worth more than £1billion, the former Beatle once held a big party for Heather Mills, now his ex-wife, but made guests buy their own drinks.

Kylie Jenner

A former US restaurant hostess last year called out the billionaire reality star for tipping $20 on a $500 dinner bill.

Princess Anne

Despite being a Royal worth millions, the Queen’s daughter recycles lots of her clothes.

She even wore the same outfit she donned for Charles and Di’s 1981 wedding for another set of nuptials in 2008.

Ed Sheeran

The singer is minted with an estimated £220m in the bank, but he likes to shop for discount DVDs on Amazon.

Sir Sean Connery

Back in 2003 it was claimed the Bond legend offered a New York cabbie just a £3 tip after the taxi driver spent hours ferrying him around the city.

Usher

Lots of celebs are reckoned to be poor tippers but he takes the biscuit.

The singer is said to have once left an autograph as a tip.

Tommy Cooper

Although he was making up to £10,000 a week, the comedian used to tip taxi drivers with an envelope containing a tea bag, with a note saying “have a drink on me.”

Lady Gaga

The 35-year-old star of House of Gucci loves shopping with vouchers tweeting: “Why do people look at me like I’m crazy when I use coupons at grocery (stores) or try bargaining at retail…”

Sir Mick Jagger

Worth about £260m the Rolling Stones frontman once handed out pot plants to staff at Christmas.

Ex wife Jerry Hall admitted: “He’s pretty tight with the day-to-day stuff.”

Sarah Michelle Gellar

Even after finding fame, the Buffy the Vampire Slayer star used to monitor petrol prices to find the cheapest place to buy it and charged her kids if they didn’t drink their milk.
