Bradley Walsh baffled over The Chase question as he quips 'is that for real'

Bradley Walsh was left perplexed over a crab-themed question on Thursday’s The Chase.

During the first round of the episode, Pete was asked a question which seemed relatively easy for the ITV quiz show.

The question was: “What word describes a crab that has been prepared for eating?”

Bradley read out the multiple-choice options: “Decorated, Dressed or Drawn.”

He then seemed taken aback by the question as he remarked with a confused expression on his face: “Is that for real that question?”

When Pete selected the ‘dressed’ option, Bradley exclaimed: “Yes, of course.”

One viewer said: “Easy questions here”.

While another penned: “‘Is that for real that question?’ Brad, haven’t you seen Tipping Point?”

Viewers went into meltdown later in the show as a player made an ‘unbelievable’ U-turn.

She answered zero questions correctly in her cash-builder, but then managed to bag £40,000.

Janty made an awful start as she got zero in her first round, so it wasn’t looking good as she went up against Chaser Jenny Ryan.

After the contestant’s catastrophic first round, viewers went into meltdown on Twitter.

One said: “If I got ZERO I wouldn’t go home.”

While another penned: Did that actually just happen? That was without a doubt the worst cash builder I’ve ever seen.”

“First time I’ve ever seen a £0 cash builder on The Chase”, typed a third.

Chaser Jenny gave the contestant a high offer of £40,000, which Janty accepted.

In a sensational U-turn, the player answered question after question correctly, bagging the £40,000 for her team and making it through to the final chance after all.

Bradley exclaimed: “That was unbelievable!”

Janty was the only contestant to make it through to the final.

In her last round, she answered six questions correctly, but it wasn’t enough to beat Jenny.

The Chaser caught her and she sadly went home empty-handed.

Viewers still praised Janty as they congratulated her on her impressive performance.

One said: “Zero in the cash builder but taking £40,000 back to the table!

“Love to see it.”

Another gushed: “Janty, the worst questions ever on her cash builder… what a recovery, you go girl.”

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
