Katie Price’s latest man Carl Woods has joked that their 10-month whirlwind romance has “felt like” a prison sentence.
The newly engaged duo appeared on Tuesday’s Good Morning Britain to talk about their speedy relationship and why it works so well between them.
Former Love Island star Carl, 31, explained that because of lockdown, their relationship felt longer than it actually had been.
The Essex chap started: “We’ve done so much time together…”
But host Susanna Reid laughed as she quipped that it sounded like they’d been in prison together.
Carl laughed: “Sometimes it’s felt like that!”
Speaking of restrictions, Katie, 42, confessed that Carl is “strict” and “keeps her in line” – but said it’s really helped her after her time at The Priory.
The former glamour model said: “He’s strict, keeps me in line.
“I’ve turned from immature to the real woman again, the businesswoman I want.”
She added: “I don’t drink, I don’t party.”
Carl cut in: “I’d like to think I can take some credit for that, but she’s got to want to change as well.
“When I first met her she was quite fragile still. She didn’t need to be looked after, but nurtured.”
However it was clear there was more to their romance than just rules, as Katie was in a bit of a spin about turning up late to the studio.
“Panic this morning,” she said, as they were welcomed onto the show. “The last time I came on, my mum was here, I was late because of traffic.
“It’s happened again today – no hair, no makeup…”

Carl smoothly said: “Good job she’s naturally beautiful.”
It seems the one-time reality star has thought about Katie for years though, as he confessed he had posters up of her in his bedroom when he was younger.
“She was my pin-up,” he said.
Carl explained that they first met when he saw her in a restaurant but he claims he didn’t actually recognise her until she came up to him at the bar.
He then got the restaurant owner to give him a call the next time Katie was in so they could meet properly, and the rest, as they say, is history.
Elsewhere in the chat, Katie confessed her mum had pleaded with her not to get her lips done before her appearance on GMB – but she had done anyway.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV
