Long before he married Shirley from Wham, Spandau Ballet musician and actor Martin Kemp appeared in their music video for Last Christmas.

In a blink and you’ll miss it cameo, Martin Kemp plays one of the friends who joins George, Andrew, Pepsi and Shirley on their winter holiday at a Swiss ski chalet.

Although George might have been reminiscing about his past love in the music video, off-screen love was certainly blossoming between Shirley and Martin, with the couple getting married in 1988.

Other stars to have appeared in the video included model Kathy Hill, who played George’s ex-girlfriend.

While things may have been frosty on screen (pardon the pun), off-set they had a great chemistry, with Kathy telling The Guardian: “He had an amazing sense of humour. There’s a scene when we’re walking up the hill and every time we went up he just fell down, so every time I burst into laughter.

“That shot where we’re rolling around and he ends up sitting on me, I’m genuinely laughing my head off. It was great.”

Hollywood actor Matt Dillon has had many award nominated roles, but one of his most famous is his cameo as the police officer in Christmas classic Fairytale of New York.

As the start of the video, Matt is the policeman who brings Shane MacGowan into the station and throws him in jail.

It’s no coincidence that he appeared in the video though, as he had previously become good friends with The Pogues, after seeing their first ever New York gig with MTV producer Peter Dougherty.

Peter would even go on to direct the video for Fairytale of New York.

From there Matt went on to star in huge Hollywood films including Something about Mary, as well as playing a policeman in another music video for Bad Girl by Madonna in 1993.
