We all love a trip to the pub , and from Devon to Dundee there’s no problem us Brits can’t solve over a good old bev in the local boozer.
From quaint village pubs to large city boozers, the pub comes in all shapes and sizes.
So we shouldn’t really be surprised to discover that countless celebs have jumped on the trend.
Everyone from music superstar Ed Sheeran to Hollyoaks actor Adam Rickett have tried their hand at opening a venue over the years.
And while the pandemic has no doubt made things a lot harder for hospitality, it many of the business’ appear to have weathered the storm.

Bertie Blossoms

British music superstar Ed Sheeran opened plush West London haunt Bertie Blossoms in 2019, which was named after his wife Cherry Seaborn.
The Notting Hill venue is billed as an ‘independent neighbourhood bar and kitchen’ and offers a range of meals as well as a swanky place for a drink.
After opening in October the venue seemed to be popular, though like with the rest of the hospitality industry was hit hard by Covid.
Due to his own personal wealth, Ed refused to furlough any of his staff – instead footing the bill himself.
From April 14 Bertie Blossoms is open for takeaways meals and drinks once more as well as outdoor dining.

The Grapes

Lord of the Rings acting legend Ian McKellen is the owner of this two floored pub in East London.
Set just off the banks of the north side of the Thames, The Grape is at the end of Narrow Street – a few doors down the road from Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant The Narrow.
On the ground floor you will find a wood panelled boozer where upstairs is the dining room and the discreet pub has been there since 1583 making it one of the oldest in London.
During Covid, the pub has also been offering takeaway options. to hungry patrons.
The Fox and Pheasant

In 2017, James Blunt bought Chelsea pub The Fox and Pheasant.
The idyllic pub would look more in place in a quaint English village than the centre of London thanks to its traditional nature.
Popular with the locals, the snug pub boasts 3 fire places and a dartboard as well as being welcoming to dogs of all sizes.
As well as a a la carte menu, the pub also offers tradition bar snacks and pub classics.
Of course, The Fox and Pheasant also serves Sunday lunch every week.
The Lore of the Land

The Lore of the Land in Fitzrovia is director Guy Ritchie’s latest venture into hospitality.
Located just north of Oxford Street the discreet boozer is popular with some of the star’s closest friends including football legend David Beckham.
With dark green walls and low hanging lights the pub isn’t short of atmosphere.
As well as standard beers, the pub serves Guy’s own beer and venison from his sprawling Wiltshire country estate and the popular Gritchie beers come in at £4.50 a pint.
Following the premiere of his film The Gentleman in 2019, Guy hosted an intimate VIP party at the pub which was attended by a host of stars including Guy and Madonna’s son Rocco.
Dexter and Jones

Hollyoaks actor Adam Rickett, who played Kyle Kelly, and his wife Katy launched their own gin bar two years ago before the pandemic hit.
The gin bar is located in Knutsford in Cheshire and boasted a seemingly never ending supply of different gin varieties.
With chunky wooden stools and bar tables, the venue made the perfect getaway for those wanting to explore beyond your average supermarket spirits.
However, due to the pandemic the couple have been forced to think on their feet and now run the venue as an off licence.
As well as gin, they now also offer craft beers and snacks.
