Since he updated his fans on his current health condition on Friday morning, it has now been revealed that Eamonn Holmeses has left hospital.
On Friday’s episode of Good Morning Britain, ITV colleague Charlotte Hawkins, 45, bought viewers up to speed with Eamonn’s health, after the presenter had been suffering from ongoing chronic pain.
Speaking openly about Eamonn’s illness, Charlotte expressed to viewers that she was messaging the presenter last night, after Eamonn tweeted that he was in hospital with unbearable pain.
The star tweeted: “At Hospital….. pain like I’ve never experienced in my life. Need to find out what’s causing this. Wish me well.”
On the latest episode of GMB, while presenting the show alongside weatherman Alex Beresford, Charlotte confirmed that Eamonn had returned home and is now currently recovering.
Charlotte said: “Just to say, because I was messaging Eamonn last night, when I saw the picture he put up- obviously everyone was worried about how he is.”
The presenter added: “‘He said, ‘Don’t be worrying about visiting me.’ He says ‘I’m not in hospital’, he was at hospital for tests.”
She added: “But of course, we do send him all our love, get well soon Eamonn. We’re thinking of you.”
In the early hours of Friday morning, Eamonn updated fans on his health condition.
He wrote: “Will have clearer picture of what’s causing my pain tomorrow but just to say folks like so many of you I’ve lived with variations of Chronic pain for years.
“Don’t allow it to stop me working & next week I’d like to be a voice for many of u & discuss the subject on”
He added: “In the meantime, I am proud that my experience has given you a voice and I’m humbled by your various and different experiences & your kindness to me.
“If between us we can get more solutions more understanding and more resources directed towards CP then that would be a result.”
Fans of the presenter have wished him well and many have publicly expressed their frustrations with chronic pain too.
One fan on Twitter wrote: “So unfair that after suffering all those years with pain from your hips, that even though you faced and got through that operation, and would have hoped pain was in the past, you find yourself in this position. Pain is the worst! Hope the cause is found.”
The 61-year-old often gives his fans insight into his battle with chronic pain as he’s been suffering from ongoing CP after he had a double hip replacement five years ago.
Previously, Eamonn spoke exclusively to Daily Star about the procedure and said: “It was a very depressing week when I had it done.”
