Gary Rhodes died from a seizure at the age of 59.
The TV cook was at his sun-soaked home in Dubai when the medical emergency happened in November 2019, and unfortunately the popular reality star didn’t survive.
Records have now revealed that at the time of his death, Gary’s will said he was leaving more than £6.4million to his family.
The chef had stipulated that his whopping fortune should go to his beloved wife Jennie, 60, as stated from London’s probate office.
What’s more, years earlier, Gary also made sure his will decreed Jennie would be given his cars and various other personal items.
The married couple met back in 1976, when Gary moved to Kent and enrolled in catering college in Thanet.
Thirteen years later, the smitten duo finally got married and had two sons together – 32-year-old Sam, and George, 30.
Gary was a hugely-popular TV chef, well-known for his signature spiky hair do and appearing on a number of different cookery shows.
The late star featured on Rhodes Around Britain and Hell’s Kitchen, and also took part in the competition MasterChef.
Gary was also a contestant on the BBC ballroom dancing competition Strictly Come Dancing in 2008.
Unfortunately, his prowess in the kitchen didn’t extend from his hands to the rest of his body and the star struggled to improve.
He was eliminated after just three weeks on the dance floor.
The chef was filming on a new ITV show when he died, sadly suffering from a bleed on his brain after a day’s work, which was later confirmed in a statement.
The family said: “In order to end painful speculation surrounding the sudden passing of our beloved Gary Rhodes OBE, the Rhodes family can confirm that after a successful day shooting with Rock Oyster Media for ITV here in Dubai, Gary returned home in a very happy mood for a peaceful evening with his wife Jennie.

“After dinner, Gary unfortunately collapsed in their residence and was rushed to hospital but unfortunately passed away due to subdural hematoma.
“At this time, there are no other details and the family would again request privacy around this very tragic loss and again, thank friends and family for their ongoing support at this time,” the statement from the family added.
