Chrissy Teigen was forced to remind a critic she recently lost a baby, firing back when one Twitter user criticised her choice of words.
The US model, 35, said she “had nothing” when discussing her decision to start horse-riding, but the message was misinterpreted by some.
In recent months, Chrissy has been open about undergoing therapy sessions following the death of her son Jack last September.
Expecting her third child with husband John Legend, Chrissy tragically suffered a stillbirth, eventually reaching out to a counselor to help her to overcome her grief.
Sharing a picture of her new horse last weekend, she said: “My therapist says I need something that I do for just me, as I have absolutely nothing currently lol.
“Today begins my journey into the horse world. I hope this dude likes me he’s so handsome and appears lazy, I love.”
Unfortunately, one Twitter user replied: “A lot of people are unemployed and struggling to feed their family in the midst of a pandemic. Maybe now isn’t a great time to say you “have nothing” so you bought a horse to entertain yourself.”
Chrissy responded to the comment, correcting the assumption she had bought a horse, and elaborating on her choice of wording.
She said: “A lot of u really misinterpreted this tweet and I guess that’s on me. I didn’t say I have nothing, I said I have nothing I do for just me.

“A convo with a therapist. A hobby. Cause I lost a baby. And I’m figuring myself out. And I didn’t buy a horse. But oh my god, what if I did?”
Chrissy previously stated she has no plans to have another child after suffering the loss of her son.
Sharing an image of her body with her bump still showing months post-pregnancy, she said: “Even though I’m no longer pregnant, every glance in the mirror reminds me of what could have been.”
She added: “But I’m proud of where this entire journey took my body and mind in other ways. I love being pregnant, so so much, and I’m sad I never will be again.
“But I am lucky to have two amazing little ones who are transforming into big little people more and more every single day.”
Chrissy and John are proud parents to two children – Luna, four, and Miles, two.
The sweethearts first met in 2006 on the set of a music video, and went on to marry seven years later.
Chrissy has inspired some of her husband’s most memorable tracks, including the 2013 chart-topper All Of Me.
