Coronation Street fans devastated as Nina ditches goth look after killer attack

Coronation Street fans were left devastated as Nina Lucas ditched her Goth threads following the brutal hate crime attack on her and boyfriend Seb, which left him dead.

Nina had returned to work at Roy’s Rolls soon after the vicious attack led by Corey Brent and his gang, but was still covered in bruises.

And she’d ditched her usual Goth makeup and dresses in exchange for a denim shirt worn open over a t-shirt.

Her dark hair, which is usually teased into an up-do, was fastened into a side ponytail to frame her bruise-covered face.

It comes after Seb’s mum Abi attacked Nina in the street, blaming the way she dressed for the attack that killed her son.

But fans took to social media to share their devastation at the transformation, with one writing: “It breaks my heart that Nina isn’t channeling her Goth look.”

Another added: “To see such a quick change in this young girl’s character is so sad.”

“Nina looks so different. So upsetting to see her without her identity,” someone else penned.

A fourth posted: “Poor Nina feel so sorry feeling forced to dress outside of her own comfort.”

While someone else wrote: “I miss Nina wearing her Goth clothes. Never change who you are!”

As Dev and Nina’s ex Asha entered the café, Dev definitely put his foot in it.

“I almost didn’t recognise you without your clothes on!” he said, before rushing to correct his blunder. “Without your costume!”

Asha quickly instructed him to stop digging himself into a deeper hole.

But later, it was clear she was concerned for Nina as she asked her what was going on with her outfit, that Nina claimed she’d got from Manchester shopping mall The Trafford Centre.

“My boyfriend just got kicked to death,” a heartbroken Nina said. “So how I look isn’t really top of my list of priorities. Will you both just leave me alone?”

Seb died in hospital after suffering terrible injuries at the hands of Corey, Kelly, Eli and others during the attack, which left him unresponsive to brain stem tests.

Sally Carman, who plays Abi, was praised for her “haunting” acting as she broke down and fell to her knees after hearing the news that her son had died.

Meanwhile, Nina was left with life-changing injuries, and suffered numerous night terrors after the attack.

While Kelly has been charged with Seb’s murder and held in custody, Corey has been left to roam the streets – leaving many fans worried about Asha, who is currently sharing a flat with him.

During Monday night’s visit to the cobbles, Corey was frustrated that Asha had refused to lie to the police for him.
