Coronation Street viewers will see their jaws drop in upcoming scenes, as the Bailey family is hit by a paternity bombshell.
Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan) reveals he believes he is Michael’s (Ryan Russell) biological father, reluctantly breaking the news to his brother Ed (Trevor Michael Georges).
The suave newcomer has been a welcome addition to the cobbles in recent weeks, bringing a smile to Ed and Michael’s faces with his arrival.
However, Aggie Bailey (Lorna Laidlaw) has been hostile towards him – and the truth behind their tension is set to emerge.
Corrie spoilers have revealed it all kicks off when Michael reveals Ronnie has offered to fund the gender reveal party for his baby, as Grace Vickers (Kate Spencer) approaches her due date.

Ed is peeved when he learns Ronnie has been flashing the cash, fearing his brother is taking his place and offers to pay for the party instead.
Michael is secretly relieved as he goes ahead with the event planning.
Meanwhile, Ronnie takes a mystery call, telling the person on the other end of the line to stop bothering him.
Later scenes see Ronnie’s estranged wife Kat appear, and she confronts her husband in the middle of the street about his sudden disappearance.
Ronnie confesses he is on a mission to expose Ronnie as his true son, and Kat’s feelings are hurt when he introduces her to Ed as his business partner.

In private, Kat pleads with Ronnie, urging him against destroying his family based on a wild theory about Michael’s true paternity.
Ronnie gets into a scuffle with a security guard who wrongly accused Grace of stealing, and suggests he is guilty of racial profiling.
When Ed asks his brother about his edgy behavior, Ronnie admits something has been on his mind and makes a dramatic confession.
Ronnie explains he is convinced Michael is his biological son, having enjoyed a fling with Aggie before she settled down with Ed three decades ago.

The baby is born, and when Ronnie calls over to the house with presents in his arms, Ed refuses him entry, ordering him to stay away.
Meanwhile, Aggie pleads with Ed over the phone, trying her best to save their relationship, but admits she is unable to return due to her aunt’s ill health.
Newborn baby Gloria is placed on a ventilator in the hospital, and Ronnie offers to buy Michael a car to facilitate the trips back and forth.
When Ed learns about this, he bites his tongue but is privately furious over his brother’s intervening.
