Coronation Street spoilers – Imran affair exposed, Johnny exit heartache and killer showdown

Coronation Street villain Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor) vows to get revenge on Leanne (Jane Danson) and Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) next week.

Having taken a call from social services, Toyah excitedly tells Imran Habeeb (Charlie de Melo) that they’re going to be fostering a four-year-old.

However, the news piles more pressure on Imran as he confides in Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) about his ex-wife Sabeen’s (Avita Jay) blackmail plot.

Imran corners Rita Sullivan (Barbara Knox) in the Rovers and, likening her foster experience to his own, quizzes her about Sharon Bentley (Tracie Bennett).

When Rita reveals that Sharon still calls and sends the odd text, Imran’s interest is piqued.

The flustered lawyer desperately tries to juggle the impending arrival of Elsie and Sabeen’s increasing demands for more information about Harvey.

When Rita sees through his latest bid to ingratiate himself she is disgusted and Imran tells Sabeen the blackmail has to stop.

Toyah is left devastated when Imran finally opens up about Sabeen’s blackmail plan and his one night fling with a stranger, but has he been entirely truthful?

With Elsie about to arrive, Toyah disappears and bumps into Peter Barlow (Chris Gasgoyne) in Victoria Gardens who tells her not to give up on what she and Imran have.

Imran is relieved when she returns to the flat all smiles for the social worker but has she forgiven him?

When Toyah finds out from Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) how Imran borrowed his phone in a bid to uncover information about Sharon, she’s quietly appalled.

When Imran is distracted by Elsie she steals his phone but what is she hoping to find?

Meanwhile a furious Sabeen storms into the solicitors’ office and tells Imran how she’s been accused of misconduct, had all her cases taken off her and he’s made an enemy for life out of gangster Harvey. Imran’s left totally bemused.

As a furious Sabeen accuses Imran of forwarding her private texts to her boss, Imran realises his phone is missing and that Toyah must be the one responsible.

Knowing Harvey’s appeal has been compromised, Peter and Toyah assure Simon he is no longer in danger.

Leo calls at the Rovers with a bunch of flowers

But across Weatherfield Sabeen visits Harvey and tells him that Leanne’s sister, Toyah, has jeopardised his appeal.

From his prison cell, a furious Harvey vows to have his revenge on the Battersby sisters.

Elsewhere, newcomer Leo (Joe Frost) calls at the Rovers with a bunch of flowers, but as he approaches the bar, he overhears Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) telling Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) that she’s enjoying her freedom and is done with relationships.

Jenny and Daisy both have the hots for Leo

Daisy admires Leo’s flowers and concedes that it might be worth giving him a chance.

She later discovers the card that came with the flowers and points out that the flowers were meant for Jenny not her and Leo obviously fancies her.

Jenny is flattered when Leo invites her out for a drink, meanwhile Johnny Connor (Richard Hawlwy) tells daughter Carla (Alison King) he feels his life has lost its purpose and is thrilled when she offers him a consultancy job at the factory.

But as he chats to an old business contact with Carla at the Bistro, he is shocked to see a glammed up Jenny walk in with Leo, how will he react?

Leo flirts with Jenny, telling her finds her much more attractive than Daisy.

Johnny calls at the Rovers hoping to have a drink with Jenny, only to find her entertaining Leo.

After spending the night with Jenny, a loved up Leo sets off to work. Beth watches intrigued.

In the factory, Johnny overhears Beth Tinker (Lisa George) bad-mouthing him to Carla, suggesting he’s past it and not up to the job.

Carla finds Johnny in the Rovers, nursing a pint. He tells her that Beth’s right, she doesn’t need his help to run the factory and it’s time he set off for pastures new.

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV at 7.30pm and 8.30pm
