Coronation Street viewers will see Kelly Neelan released from prison next week – but it forces Imran Habeeb and Toyah Battersby to make a tough decision.
Kelly (Millie Gibson) was sent down for Seb’s murder, even though she didn’t do it, but it set to be released after new evidence against Corey Brent (Maximus Evans) was found.
Next week, Coronation Street spoilers have revealed that the teen has an appeal hearing and the judge declares she will be releasing Kelly with immediate effect.
At court, Imran (Charlie De Melo) runs into Sabeen (Zora Bishop) and she assures her ex that she will be always be there for him – but how will he react?
Back at home, after a visit from a social worker, Imran and Toyah (Georgia Taylor) are horrified when they realise they might have to choose between Kelly and little Elsie.
They hope that they’re not forced to make the difficult decision between their girls.
Soon, Kelly returns to the street and approaches Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) to try and build bridges.
Nina makes it clear she will never forgive her, though.
Toyah tells Kelly that Imran cheated on her and they broke up, and Kelly urges her to give him another chance.
Kelly gets another shock when Toyah tells her they might have to make Elsie move out.
But she makes a decision of her own when, for Elsie’s sake, Kelly tells Lou that she wants to live somewhere else.
Imran and Toyah are disappointed, but Toyah soon tells him she’s willing to give him a second chance.
Kelly lets herself into her supported living accommodation, but is stunned when she finds someone has sprayed the word “murderer” on the wall.
She scrubs away at the graffiti, trying to get rid of it.
Later, when Kelly asks about Nina, Dev Allahan (Jimi Harkishin) reveals that she’s in bits because she’s lost Seb’s ring.
Kelly then presents Nina with a ring, trying to make out that it’s the one she lost.
But Nina isn’t fooled, with Kelly then admitting she actually went to York to try and replace it to show how sorry she is.
Nina chucks it back at her, leaving Kelly heartbroken.
In the cafe, Roy Cropper (David Nielsen) advises Nina to be a bit kinder to Kelly, as she seems genuinely sorry.
Soon there’s more trouble for Kelly when she’s questioned about keying Dev’s car, but she tells Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) that she’d been in York with a mate.
Craig says the friend reckons he hasn’t seen her all day – is Kelly telling the truth?
Kelly speaks to Nina and Asha (Tanisha Gorey) outside the chippy and assures them she didn’t key the car and is telling the truth about her trip, but will they believe her?
Later, as Kelly returns to her digs, her pal Cole (Tyler Dobbs) appears and threatens her, saying she’s inadvertently grassed him up to the police as he’d used their trip to York to pick up some stolen phones.
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV
