Coronation Street star Kym Marsh shares sweet post to congratulate her parents

Former Coronation Street star Kym Marsh has shared a sweet and personal message to her social media.

She took to Instagram to congratulate her parents on their 56th wedding anniversary as she used about how proud she is of their relationship.

Kym shared a sweet photo of her parents together as well as one taken on their wedding day.

Alongside the snaps she penned: “Happy 56th wedding anniversary to my wonderful parents! Wow! 56 years!!! How amazing! You make me proud every single day!

“Your love and devotion to each other is beyond compare. Life hasn’t always been easy for you over the years and you have overcome a lot, but you’ve done it TOGETHER, side by side as always.

“Dad, your strength lately has been astonishing, you’re going through so much but you’re doing it with a smile on your face and I know that’s largely down to mum’s love and support,” she went on.

“You’re an amazing team and I’m so grateful to have you as my parents. So today we celebrate you! Happy anniversary to the most perfect couple there is!

She concluded the touching message: “We love you both, you are and always will be our world.”

Fans took to the comments section to praise the happy couple and sweet message.

“Aww this is adorable. Happy Anniversary to your parents. SO lovely to see though good days ad bad they have stuck by one another. That is what I call love,” wrote one fan.

A second commented: “Beautiful Tribute to your Parents Kym. Not many married couples reach that milestone together. Happy 56th Wedding Anniversary to your Mum and Dad xx”.

“Wow, congratulations! A fabulous achievement! Absolutely beautiful xx,” a third added.

Kym’s dad, David Marsh, was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer earlier this year which was revealed after a delayed check-up due to the coronavirus pandemic.

In a video with her dad in June, Kym said: “You have always taught me to be strong and not to take things lying down…sink or swim.” To which, Dave replied: “What’s the saying? You’ve only got one life, look after it and live it.”

“I’m in absolute awe of you, dad,” the presenter added before they shared a heartwarming hug.

“I’m going nowhere,” he said adamantly and Kym replied: “I know you’re not. You can’t leave me.”
