Coronation Street star Julia Goulding first arrived on the cobbles as troubled drug addict Shona Ramsey back in 2016.
Her entrance to the soap was seriously dramatic, as she was revealed to be the mother of dangerous criminal Clayton Hibbs, who was Kylie Platt’s killer.
She quickly sparked the interest of Kylie’s widower David, but he was left devastated when he discovered her real identity.
However, he managed to move past it, and the pair eventually got married, leading to Julia staying on the soap for another five years.
But whilst she has won legions of fans with her portrayal of the feisty and hilarious Shona, some fans may not know much about the actress.
Julia, 35, took a break from the soap in 2019 after welcoming baby son Franklin Wolf Silver with her husband Ben, who she married earlier that year.
She has remained private about her adorable addition, preferring to share snaps of her husband and friends, as well as her Corrie antics with her co-stars.
She and Ben got married after a secret ten-month engagement, deciding to pay homage to Julia’s love of acting by marrying at Manchester’s Albert Hall.
Her co-stars attended the big day, with Jack P Shepherd, Tina O’Brien and Lucy Fallon turning up to share the special moment.
Speaking about it afterwards, Julia told OK!: “I love being on stage and I always wanted to get married on one!”
Ben told the magazine how he felt when he first saw his wife-to-be in her dress, saying: “As soon as I saw Julia, I just knew it was the best day of my life.”
Julia also revealed why her dad didn’t walk her down the aisle, as she said she decided she’d rather walk with her husband-to-be.
She told OK!: “It was important for us to walk down the aisle together and my parents aren’t traditional.
“My dad didn’t mind not giving me away as he believes I’m my own person. I can totally understand why people do it, but the way we did it felt right for Ben and I.”
She has also shared glimpses into her elegant home with Ben, posting snaps of their beloved cat Marcel around the house, from relaxing in the lounge or lying by the shutters.
Her large brown sofa can be seen with elegant patterned cushions arranged on it, as well as a large window which leaves the room looking light and airy, with Julia and Ben adding finishing touches with some plants.
But whilst she’s not busy being a mother, Julia is very active as she previously revealed that she is an avid bike rider, revealing that she regularly goes on a ten-mile bike ride.
She said: “I’ve rediscovered my bike. I go out nice and early. It’s brilliant; I feel like a kid again! I get that helmet on, jump on my bike and I’m off. And it’s helping to shift some of the old baby weight.”
Julia’s life may have settled down a bit since she became a mother, but she can boast plenty of famous connections after attending prestigious acting school Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, which has produced plenty of huge stars.
Actors such as Anthony Hopkins and Dame Judi Dench walked the halls, and Julia went on to become pals with plenty of other well-known actors.
She revealed that Taron Egerton, who played Elton John in the biopic Rocketman was in the year below her in school, and she is close friends with Sophie Rundle, who played Ada in Peaky Blinders, who attended their wedding.
Taron regularly comments on her snaps, with one of them branding Julia a “legend” when she went to Amsterdam Pride whilst heavily pregnant with Franklin.
The Hollywood star has a huge part to play in her happy love life, as Julia and Ben met when Ben’s younger brother Josh was at RADA alongside Taron, who was given the honour of being their master of ceremonies at their wedding.
Julia gushed about him to OK!: “I’m so proud of him, I’ve known him for years. I knew how good he was but he was incredible in Rocketman.”
Meanwhile, Julia is in the midst of another very dramatic storyline on the cobbles, as she is set to run down Todd Grimshaw in a car accident.
Todd will be left for dead and is rushed to hospital as Shona tells David what she has done, revealing she was moving his car when she realised she had hit something.
Shona is forced to come clean to Abi Franklin when she sees the dent in the car but swears her to secrecy and beg her to fix the car and not say anything.
Meanwhile, the police begin to investigate as Todd struggles with his memory once he wakes up after the crash, admitting to his mum Eileen that he can only remember small things.
Is Shona going to get caught out, and what does it mean for her and David?
Corrie airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm on ITV.
